Dead Until Dark
***SPOILER ALERT!!!***Let me just start off by saying this is a review for the book Dead Until Dark, which is the first book in The Southern Vampire Mysteries/The Sookie Stackhouse Novels, which the first season of True Blood is loosely, and yes loosely, based. There was a lot of sex between Bill and Sookie, but not as much as the show. Tara also wasn’t introduced in the first book, and Eric saved Sookie from Long Shadow not Bill, Bubba is not introduced in the first season, as in the book he is, and most of all, the book is from Sookie’s point of view only. Okay onto other things, I definitely loved Eric, I don’t know why though, he’s just so cool, and mysterious, and hot. Bill and Sookie’s relationship was quite realistic, and a bit off again-on again. The characters were extremely likeable, and you feel like you too, are in Sookie’s amazingly wonderful, scary, supernatural, mystical, sexy, realistic world. The book never seemed dragged down to me at all, it followed through extremely well, with action, romance, sex, etc. I do think the first season had a great vision for the characters, except for Tara (like I said, she’s not here yet) and Sookie! In the books Sookie is quite more innocent, Southern, curvy, and mouthy but sweet. The plot was quite good, and infused vampires extremely well into a down-home mystery. And it was also a very realistic take on vampires. I also saw the metaphor with the whole predjudice against vampires, which is actually quite similar to homosexuals, particularly in one part, where Sookie is being lectured by a sherriff, about how vampires “coming out of the coffin” is tearing down a wall that was made and put up by the Lord. And let me just say yet again, TEAM ERIC!!! He is quite the hot, mysterious, lustful figure. And that’s my review, so Charlaine Harris I applaud you, and can’t wait to read Living Dead in Dallas!

Sorry!!! It’s been soooooo long since my last post, but I’ve been quite busy, so I’ll tell you later. Recently, I watched Babylon 5: The Gathering and fell in nerd love, I mean it’s more drama/sci-fi, than, sci-fi/drama, which is perfect for me! This weekend I stayed in a nice, cheap, cozy, hotel, with my mother. It was nice because it had a twenty-four hour pool, a mini-fridge, a small game room, a flat screen television set, and of course, Wi-Fi. All and all, I definitely reccomend it, it was close to, but off The Strip, so it was nice and quiet. I also went to Titanic: The Artifact Exhibit, at The Luxor, and it was amazing. In the beginning, you get a passenger card, and the passenger I got, died, of course. They had jewelry, money, coins, clothes, silverware, plates, perfumes, and The Big Piece, which was a big old hunk of the ship, and the glass on the window of The Big Piece, was really thick. Everything was from the wreckage, except for the rooms they made, that were remodeled to look like you were on The Titanic, like the grand staircase, the promenade deck, a first-class suite, etc. It was just so cool! I go back to Albuquerque in two weeks, so hopefully I’m going to get to go to CSI: The Experience at MGM Grand. Well, I’m going to go watch Babylon 5, so…..

Doctor Who
*Insert Doctor Who Theme Music Here* My cousin (which I mention a lot in this blog) is a bit obsessed with Doctor Who. I watched three of the episodes in May and fell in nerd love but after I fell asleep (due to tiredness, not boredom) I stopped watching it. But after watching the episode Blink in Season 3, I’ve decided to give it another go and I fell in nerd love again. I may be on the 1st season but I love Rose!!! She is so spunky, and hilarious, and the Tenth Doctor/New First Doctor is extremely complex. He has tons of emotions pent up, like guilt, love, etc. He hides it with his jokes and his cheery demeanor and I can’t wait to get to the 2nd season. I already love Rose, and I have a feeling I’m going to fall in nerd love with David Tennant/Tenth Doctor! Well, that’s what I’ve been up to. So……..

Wow! 72 Page Views!!!
I know how insignificant that sounds but I didn’t think anyone would actually read this blog at all. It really makes me happy that someone would want to read my blog! I’ve been changing the themes a lot, and I mean like every two seconds, I just can’t find a good one! So, this weekend, my mother and I went swimming in the pool which is usually freezing cold, but it was chilled yesterday so it was really nice. We watched the movie Mommie Dearest, which by-the-way was sooo scary and crazy!!! I also watched My So-Called Life, which was awesome, it had good drama, good characters, and it was really easy to identify with. I also found my old friends from elementary school on Facebook, which was epic! Well, I’m going to go surf the web.

So Sorry!!!
Okay so I lied! I said I’d make this blog daily but so much nothingness has happened!!! I read Fushigi Yugi Volumes 1-3, got a Netflix account, talked to my cousin, slept in everyday until four o’ clock, and of course watched television!!! I really need to get into a TV show!!! I mean my cousin L-O-V-E-S Doctor Who! I want to love a show as much as she does!!! I also stopped reading Flowers in The Attic to read Fushigi Yugi (which is amazing!) I’m going to try Dead Like Me, Dexter, or Arrested Development. I’ve also been catching up on Gunnerkrigg Court. It’s so fantastic, it’s a perfect mix of science-fiction and fantasy, and the storytelling is amazing! Okay, I PROMISE I will make this blog daily (not like anyone reads it) from now on, except maybe some Saturdays and Sundays. Well I’ve got to talk to my cousin so….

I’ve been reading Flowers In The Attic, watching the reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City (it’s in three parts, and Kelly is psychotic) catching up on Dark Shadows, listening to Carole King, talking to my amazing cousin (of course 
) and trying to find myself and the perfect summer! I really need a good British drama so send in reccomendations! I LOVE Dark Shadows!!!! I mean Maggie is so in distress, and Barnabus is sooooo troubled!!!! And Ramona yelling at Jill “You didn’t give me a chance!” You didn’t look for a chance, goddamnit!!!” Just wow! What I’ve Been Up To
I haven’t blogged in two days and I want to keep this blog daily so here’s what I’ve been up to. I’ve gotten a lot of books like Flowers In The Attic, The Shining, Scarlett, How To Win Friends and Influence People For Teens, and a fun Would You Rather book. KELLY IS SOOOOOO CRAZY! THEY’RE JUST GIFTBAGS, GEEZ! Sorry, RHONY is on. I’m currently reading Flowers and it’s so good, but really sad! I mean their dad got hit by a car, turned over three times, then caught fire! So sad! I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix, like Broadway: The American Musical, Dark Shadows, and SNL (Old, original episodes/seasons) I’ve also managed to make my cousin sad which I didn’t mean to do at all, but then again she’s also a bit hormonal so it adds to the depression. Well, I’m going to fully wake up, and read Flowers so…..

One Can Dream
Today I thought a lot about romance, love, destiny, and talent. I thought about romance due to Amelie, and my cousin talking about how she wants a boyfriend. I don’t know what love is, I believe it’s knowing who you want to be with, and they also know it, but you never can be with them. (I know that sounds incredibly stupid) I’ve always been interested in fate and destiny, if you are destined to do something should you? What if you’re destined for something horrible, or something amazing, do you follow it, or change you change it? Talent also plays a huge role in fate and destiny, it’s like talent is an artist, and fate is the canvas and whole painting. (More stupid thoughts) I’ve always wondered what my talent is, I know everyone elses but what is my talent? Are you born with talent or do you gain it? Well, enough with the stupid questions. I’m going to watch a PBS documentary about Broadway. So………………..

So today I just got done watching a little cute French indie movie called Amelie. The cinematography was beautiful, the romance was amazing, the characters were quirky, the ending was sastisfying, I can’t say enough good things about this movie! GO INSTANTLY WATCH IT ON NETFLIX!!!!!!! The only downside was that it felt a bit long, even though it’s only two hours. It makes me want to learn French and go to Paris even more!

Cosplay
Ok, so before I talked about how my cousin Shelley AKA addictedtotext (GO TO HER BLOG-addictedtotext.com, even though SHE NEEDS TO HAVE A NEW FRICKIN POST!!!!) about cosplay. I found out she was just teasing me but I thought she was serious and took it into consideration. (BETCH!!!) But I still think it sounds like fun and she really wants to do Doctor Who cosplay (She’ll be Donna-whoever that is, and I’ll be the Tenth Doctor) but we probably will never cosplay and if we do I’m pretty sure we will feel like the biggest dorks on planet Earth. (But it still sounds kinda fun) I also found out she LARPed when she was nineteen as a vampire (I know WTF!!!!!) and that’s how she met her ex-hubby. I KNOW SHE’S THIRTY-FIVE AND DIVORCED AND SINGLE!!!!!! GO OUT AND DATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE LIKES LANKY NERDS!!!!! There are a lot in PDX!!! Okay I was also thinking Chobits, she could be Chi and I could be Hideki. Chobits is about robots, love, differences, if robots can love, etc. PICK IT UP!!!!! It’s also by CLAMP so it’s guaranteed to be amazing. Maybe we could do Clover but it would be a bit creepy with the bf/gf romance in Clover. Well, I’m going to go back on Youtube, so…..
